A cheap, easy day on the water, sorted.
Traditional wooden boat, up to five, Pakleni from Hvar.
All in the price. No hidden costs at the end of the day.
Valid licence, a year's experience minimum. The boat and the rules of the sea are your responsibility.
The Pakleni Islands, a short hop from Hvar. Tap a spot to see it.
Fuel is included in the day rate. You take her out, bring her back, and there is nothing to settle at the pump. What you see is what you pay.
Any valid boat licence, any nationality. Not sure yours qualifies? Ask and we will confirm before you book. No licence in the group? Take the same boat with a skipper instead.
The Passara is the most traditional boat on the island. Her design has worked these waters for generations, once carrying goats and chickens between the villages and heading out with the fishermen. Wooden, simple, and honest. Six horsepower, room for five, and the cheapest way onto the water in Hvar.
She is made for the Pakleni Islands. Fifteen minutes from the harbour and you are in another world, clear water, quiet bays if you know where to look, pine trees down to the shore. Fuel is included, so there is nothing to settle at the end of the day.
You step aboard and we handle the rest. Your skipper knows every cove in the Pakleni, so you say what kind of day you want and it happens, a lively bay or an empty one, a long swim or a slow lunch.
We pull in wherever the water looks good, drop anchor, and you swim. Bring what you like to eat and drink, take it at your own pace, and when you have had your fill of sun we bring you home.
Send me your date and how many people. I'll confirm availability and sort you out.
On self-drive the day rate covers the boat. Fuel is separate, and you only pay for what you actually burn, so the bill is yours to control.
Pottering. Cross to the Pakleni at a gentle speed, anchor up, swim, drift home. Most families land here.
Full throttle. Long runs at speed, out to Šćedro and back, engine wide open most of the day.
It is the same tank either way, the difference is entirely in the right hand. Two identical boats can leave on the same morning and come back €200 apart.
You take the boat with a full tank and bring it back full, or we settle the difference when you return. You pay the pump price for the litres you used.
With a skipper, none of this applies, fuel is bundled into the day rate. Not sure what a self-drive day would cost? Ask when you book and we will give you a realistic number.
The boat is in your hands for the day. That is the appeal of it, and it is also the deal. By booking self-drive you are agreeing to the following.
None of this is here to scare you off, the vast majority of days go perfectly. But the boat is ours and the licence is yours, so it is worth both of us being clear before you set off.
